Malcolm Girls’ and Boys’ Cross Country
Dominant Dynasties 1985-2019
In 1985 Bob Hoyer started the Cross Country program at Malcolm and watched it grow from 13 runners to a very successful program, accumulating numerous invitational, conference and district titles. During this time the boys qualified for the state meet 25 times and the girls qualified 22 times. They have won 10 State Championships and finished in the top five at the state meet 29 times. An active alumni group of runners continues to support the program by providing scholarship program for graduating seniors.
