BROOKE SCHWARTZ

Gering (Class of 1996)

The No. 4 all-time scorer in Class B girls’ basketball with 1,894 points, Brooke Schwartz helped Gering win 85 percent of its games and reach the state semifinals twice in her four years. A three-time Class B all-stater and two-time all-class all-state in basketball, she also started for the Bulldogs in volleyball and placed in the top three in the Class B high jump for her last three years in track and field, running on the all-class gold 400 relay in 1994. She played on three NCAA qualifying women’s basketball teams at Nebraska, scoring 1,243 points. Her professional career included stops in Iceland and the National Women’s Basketball League.
