Chris Bober- Omaha South

A “late bloomer” who went on to a successful football career at UNO and the NFL, Chris Bober lettered in football and baseball while playing for Omaha South. At UNO, he started 46 consecutive games in the offensive line and was a two-time Division II All-American. An outstanding blocker and pass-protector, he redshirted in 1995, was a part-time starter in 1996, then started full-time for three seasons. UNO won two conference titles and made three NCAA Division II playoff appearances during his career. Drafted by the New York Giants, Chris became a starter in the NFL and later signed with the Kansas City Chiefs. He played in 91 games in seven years.
