GINA MANCUSO

The 2008 AVCA National volleyball player of the year and Nebraska’s first Gatorade national player of the year, Gina Mancuso led Papillion-LaVista to a 41-1 record and the Class A volleyball title her senior year. A three-time all-state selection, she graduated with a state record in digs and the second-highest mark in kills. She played basketball and ran track, winning state medals in the high jump and 800 meters, an received state girls athlete of the year honors from the World-Herald and Lincoln Journal Star. At Nebraska, she earned All-American honors as a junior and senior, setting the pace for the Huskers in kills and ace serves. Her professional career spanned several years.
