JORDAN HOOPER

Alliance (Class of 2010)

Few freshmen have leaped from unknown to stardom the way Jordan Hooper did coming out of the Panhandle in 2007. She led Alliance to the Class B state basketball championship, beginning a career that regularly brought her to Lincoln. The Bulldogs were runners-up in 2008. She was twice named Nebraska’s Gatorade Player of the Year, three times All-Nebraska, and four times Class B all-state. She also earned all-state honors in volleyball, won a state championship in the long jump, and was the girls Athlete of the Year as a senior. At Nebraska, Jordan was a three-time All-Big Ten selection and a first-team All-American as a senior, finishing with 2,357 points and 1,110 rebounds. She went on to play four years in the WNBA.
