Amber Hegge- Crofton

The Omaha World-Herald’s first two-time Girls’ Athlete of the Year, Amber (Hegge) Cunningham led Crofton to three straight State Basketball Championships and four State Track titles. She won 12 Class C gold medals and three silver medals in track while setting a Class C record in the high jump. A three-time All-State selection in basketball, she scored 1,212 points and collected 542 rebounds in her career. She also led the team in steals and blocked shots. At the University of South Dakota, Amber finished her basketball career in the top five in points, rebounds and blocked shots and in the top five in the high jump. Following college, she played professional basketball for five years in Australia and Germany.
