Buck Mahoney- Kearney

Combining various interests in statistics and crossword puzzles with a passion for the unpredictability of sports, Buck Mahoney found his calling as a sports writer, telling the stories of games and the people who play them. Sports editor for the Kearney Hub and Lexington newspapers, he has covered south-central Nebraska sports for more than 40 years. He has consulted on the Omaha World-Herald’s Top 100 Nebraska athletes and is an original member of the Nebraska High School Sports Hall of Fame Board of Directors, serving on many of its subcommittees.
