CHRIS DISHMAN

Eight years in the NFL capped Chris Dishman’s playing career. A three-sport athlete at Cozad, “Dish” made all-state teams as a junior and senior in football, won two conference heavyweight titles and reached the state finals in wrestling as a senior, and took bronze in the Class B shot put while also qualifying for state in the discus in 1992. At Nebraska, he was a two-year starter at offensive guard and tackle and a four-year letterman, earning national championship rings in 1994 and 1995. He was named to the Associated Press All-America second team as a senior. Drafted by the Arizona Cardinals, he played seven seasons with them before finishing his career with the Rams.
