Malcolm High welcomed Jack Tarr to its faculty in 1978, and the native of Lynch, Nebraska, has been a loyal Clipper ever since. An award-winning educator while coaching up to five sports at a time during his 42-year career, he served as the school’s athletic director from 1992 until his retirement in 2020. During his tenure, Malcolm added cross country, softball, wrestling, unified bowling, and baseball, and hosted more than 100 NSAA district contests along with numerous East Central Nebraska Conference events. He was named the Nebraska State Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association’s Athletic Director of the Year in 2018.
