A national award-winning volleyball coach while at Lincoln Pius X, Jake Moore embarked on a new chapter at Omaha Marian four years ago. The son of Nebraska High School Sports Hall of Famer Charlie Moore, he graduated from Fairbury High and UNL and began his education career with four years at Fairmont before a quarter-century at Pius X. His Thunderbolts won three-peats in Class B volleyball from 1996–98 and 2006–08 and captured a seventh title in 2011. He was named PrepVolleyball.com’s national co-coach of the year in 2008 and received state coach of the year honors three times from the state’s two major newspapers. Entering the 2025

season, his career record was 767-282.
