One of Nebraska’s most decorated swimmers, Jennifer Kocsis won seven individual gold medals and seven relay golds at the state meet. She completed a career sweep of the 500-yard freestyle, setting a longstanding state record, one of four state records she owned or shared in her career. Only a second-place finish as a freshman kept her from winning four golds in the 200-yard freestyle. She helped Marian win the team title as a junior, nearly doubling the score on the runner-up team. At Northwestern, she earned All-Big Ten honors and graduated with an all-time top 10 time in the 200 freestyle
