Kristi Woodard- Bellevue West

Selected as the state’s Miss Basketball and Gatorade Nebraska Player of the Year, Kristi Woodard set several school records while leading Bellevue West to its first state girls’ basketball tournament appearance. A three-time letter winner in volleyball, she helped the Thunderbirds to a runner-up finish as a sophomore. She also ran on the track team, earning a gold medal her senior year on the 3,200-meter relay team. But it was basketball where Bellevue West’s all-time leading scorer, with 1,297 points, forged her future. At Creighton, she started for three seasons and scored more than 1,100 points. Kristi was named to the Missouri Valley Conference’s All-Freshman team and later, All-Conference team and played volleyball as a senior.
