Destined for the NFL, Mark Traynowicz made his mark in Nebraska in the early years of Bellevue West.  A three-year, three-sport letterman, he was an all-state lineman in football, won the Class A heavyweight wrestling title as a senior, going 29-1, and qualified for the state track meet in the shot put for three years and discus for two.  At Nebraska, Traynowicz started at center for two years, earning All-American honors and playing a key role in the Huskers “Scoring Explosion” offense considered one of the most potent in the history of college football.  After being picked in the second round of the NFL draft, he played five seasons with Buffalo and Phoenix
